The Integration Roadblock
RazorpayX Payroll promises “run payroll in one click,” but enterprise prospects expect plug-and-play sync with whichever HRMS they already use. Three issues were blocking deals:
- HRMS diversity – Large prospects run SAP SuccessFactors, Darwinbox, Oracle HCM and home-grown systems; RazorpayX had to ingest employee profiles from all of them.
- Dual-entity complexity – A marquee 18-k-employee customer kept staff in two legal entities yet demanded one consolidated pay run and statutory filings inside Razorpay.
- Manual field mapping – Each HRMS exposed different employee schemas, forcing RazorpayX engineers to write glue code and edge-case logic for every new customer.
Left unsolved, the backlog meant 6–8 weeks of engineering per enterprise deal and jeopardised the sales pipeline.
